AstraZeneca has been forced to pay £6.9 million to settle claims it is paying for the false marketing of Nexium, a heartburn medication for adults.
AstraZeneca said the settlement was “illegal”, and it will now move forward with its strategy to resolve the matter.
The company said the company “did not make any false representations or warranties about the safety, efficacy, quality, and efficacy of Nexium.”
The deal would provide AstraZeneca with “the financial benefit” of resolving the Nexium settlement, and will also enable the company to continue to make the drug available to the public. The company will continue to make Nexium as part of its Nexium strategy, which aims to eliminate the need for over-the-counter sales of the medication. AstraZeneca also has an agreement to sell the drug to a variety of health care professionals.
The settlement resolves Nexium’s marketing and marketing authorization claims, and will enable AstraZeneca to continue to make the drug available to the public. However, it does not prevent the company from making Nexium through AstraZeneca’s current Nexium strategy.
The AstraZeneca settlement will be brought to court on November 7, with a hearing scheduled for December 18, in New York. The firm’s U. S. court will decide the case.
AstraZeneca said the settlement will be a result of “a significant strategic and financial commitment to the company.”
The Nexium settlement agreement was made in a by AstraZeneca in February. However, the AstraZeneca settlement agreement is being used as the basis for a motion to dismiss the company’s Nexium marketing claim. The AstraZeneca settlement agreement will be referred to the U. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
The firm’s Nexium settlement agreement will be brought to court on November 7.
